Looking for healthy snack ideas for your child's lunchbox?

You don’t need to look far.

We made a list of some really good snack options you can make for your child to take to school.

DATES FILLED WITH WALNUTS

This is quite possible the easiest snack you can make. Just take a madjool date, stuff it with walnuts or pecans. You can make a lot all at once and store it in the refrigerator for a long time. They don’t go back, and they really are a treat!

NUT BUTTER SANDWICH

Have you tried our nut butters on bread?? If you haven’t, we recommend you do, and once you do, let your kid have a taste! It’s a great alternative to the other chocolate spreads– more nutrient filled and much more satiating.  Want to add a little twist? Cut some fruit on top like banana or a thinly sliced apple

Energy balls

We love making energy balls-they’re easy (and even fun!) to make, and you almost can’t go wrong by adding anything you want to the recipe.
Here’s our favorite recipe:
In a food processor combine:
  • jar of maple almond butter
  • 12 madjool dates
  • cup whole oats
  • tbsp chia seeds
  • tbsp grinded flax seeds
  • tsp cinammon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
